BirdGard Iberia is your expert online shop for bird and animal repellers. This is our story:
- It all began in the summer of 2008, when a family member started having problems with birds in his crops. As we were comfortable with new technologies, he asked us to help him search online for a solution to his problem.
- We carried out an initial market study and found that the North American company Bird Gard was one of the international references in sonic bird repellers. We contacted them and purchased some of their bird repellers. When we received them, we saw first-hand that they worked very well.
- Bird Gard did not have distribution in Spain at that time. We were looking to launch an ecommerce project focused on innovative and effective products. We thought that, if Bird Gard bird repellers had solved our family member’s problem, they could also help many other people dealing with bird problems.
- In September 2008, we reached an exclusive distribution agreement for Bird Gard bioacoustic bird repellers in Spain and Portugal. Later, we extended that collaboration agreement to Italy as well.
- We launched our online shop, "BirdGard Iberia". The first three years were modest, but they helped us strengthen our knowledge of bird repellers and build the foundations of our company.
- Since 2011, we have grown steadily, reaching more than 1,000 orders per year across our online shops.
- In 2012, we launched our blog, with advice on how to repel birds and animals, while also giving our customers an important space to share their own first-hand experiences.
- Over the years, we have expanded our catalogue to better meet our customers’ needs, offering other bird deterrent technologies as well as animal repellers for cats, rats, mice, wild boars and more.
- In 2023, we launched this new online shop, improving the shopping experience.
- In 2024, we expanded our catalogue with live-capture traps and ProFly insect traps. We also continued our international expansion by launching a new store for France and Belgium.
- In 2025, we continued to evolve our catalogue with a new product line that is especially exciting for us: animal houses, nesting boxes and shelters.
- In 2026, we took another step forward in customer service with the launch of an online assistant available 24 hours a day, designed to help guide customers and recommend the most suitable repeller for each case at any time of day. It is a complement to our personal advice, which is still available by phone and email.
