Animal Repellers
Find the most suitable animal repeller for your case according to the type of solution you need —ultrasound, sound, vibrations, light, water, repellents, traps or physical barriers— or according to the species you want to deter: cats, rats and mice, wild boars, rabbits, moles, reptiles, dogs, deer, wolves, foxes and other animals.
When an unwanted animal appears in your home, garden, vehicle or property, in many cases there is a solution that does not involve harming it. At BirdGard Iberia, we offer effective solutions for controlling unwanted animals, prioritising deterrence, prevention and non-harmful control methods whenever they are appropriate, and we help you choose the most suitable method for your case.
Two ways to find the right solution
We have organised the catalogue into two main sections so you can find what you need more easily:
- By type of product: if you want to compare different methods —sound, ultrasound, vibrations, light, water, physical barriers or traps—, here you can see how each one works and when it is most appropriate.
- By animal species: if you already know which animal is causing the problem —cats, wild boars, rats and mice, moles, rabbits and many others—, here you can go directly to the solutions designed for each case.
Not sure where to start? Start by animal species: each page will guide you towards the methods that best fit that animal and the area you need to protect.
What problem do you need to solve?
This table will help you get oriented quickly before choosing a specific product:
| Common problem | Where to start | Suggested solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cats entering the garden, terrace, vegetable patch or pond | Cat repellers | Ultrasonic devices, repellents, motion-activated water systems or combined solutions depending on the area. |
| Rats or mice in homes, garages, warehouses, false ceilings or vehicles | Rat and mouse repellers | Ultrasonic devices, repellents, live-capture traps, electric traps for indoor use or preventive measures to reduce access and shelter. |
| Wild boars entering properties, gardens, crops or green areas | Wild boar repellers | Sonic deterrents, deterrent lights, physical barriers or a combination of several methods. |
| Rabbits damaging vegetable gardens, crops or lawns | Rabbit repellers | Ultrasonic devices, sound deterrents, repellents, physical barriers or live-capture traps depending on the level of pressure. |
| Moles and voles creating mounds or damaging the ground | Mole deterrents | Vibration-based deterrents, specific ground solutions and preventive measures for gardens. |
| Reptiles, snakes or other crawling animals in gardens, plots or outdoor areas | Snake and reptile repellers | Specific repellents and prevention of shelter areas, especially in places with stones, vegetation or humidity. |
| Dogs urinating, soiling or entering specific areas | Dog repellers | Repellents, ultrasonic devices or motion-activated water systems, depending on the space to be protected. |
| Wolves, foxes or other predators near livestock or domestic animals | Fox and wolf repellers | Deterrent lights, access prevention and perimeter protection in rural or livestock areas. |
| Deer approaching roads, crops, gardens or properties | Deer repellers | Acoustic systems, deterrent lights or preventive solutions depending on the type of area to be protected. |
| Squirrels, martens, weasels or other small animals in attics, roofs or vehicles | Squirrel deterrents / Marten repellers | Ultrasonic devices, repellents and measures to close access points or prevent shelter. |
Effective solutions adapted to each problem
Whenever possible, our approach is to prioritise deterrence, prevention and access control. Many problems with animals can be resolved sustainably by reducing the factors that attract them and using non-harmful methods. However, not every situation requires the same approach. That is why we also offer capture solutions and, for certain rodent problems indoors, electric traps that eliminate rats and mice without the need to use poisons or rodenticides.
Depending on the case, it may make sense to use ultrasonic animal repellers, sonic animal repellers, vibration-based animal repellers, deterrent lights, water-based animal repellers, repellents, traps or physical barriers. Not every method works for every animal or every environment, so it is important to choose the solution according to the species, the surface area, the entry point and the level of animal presence.
When you buy from BirdGard Iberia, you also benefit from free advice to help you choose the right solution, regular stock availability, delivery in Spain in 1-2 working days and after-sales support. If you have any questions about your case, contact us.
An important point: protected species
Before taking action, it is important to bear in mind that some species may be protected by law and that handling them may require prior authorisation from the relevant authority. In these cases, the objective should always be prevention and non-harmful deterrence. This information is for guidance only and does not constitute legal advice; if in doubt, consult the environmental authority in your region.
Frequently asked questions about animal repellers
What animal repeller do I need?
It mainly depends on the animal you want to deter, where it appears and the level of presence. Protecting a garden from cats is not the same as protecting a property from wild boars, a vehicle from rodents or a vegetable patch from rabbits. If you are not sure where to start, we recommend checking the animal species section first.
Do ultrasonic animal repellers work for all animals?
No. Ultrasonic devices can be useful against certain animals, but they are not a universal solution. Their effectiveness depends on the species, the location, the orientation of the device and the presence of obstacles. Ultrasound also does not pass through walls, partitions or solid objects, so the device must be placed in the same area you want to protect.
Is it better to choose by type of product or by animal species?
If you already know the type of technology you are looking for, you can start with type of product. If you know which animal is causing the problem, it is usually better to start with animal species, because each species responds better to specific methods.
Do animal repellers harm animals?
Most of the animal deterrents and repellents selected by BirdGard Iberia are designed to discourage animals without harming them, using ultrasound, sound, vibrations, light, water, repellents or physical barriers. In the case of traps, different systems are available: some allow the animal to be captured alive and removed afterwards, while others, specifically intended for controlling rats and mice, eliminate the rodent. It is therefore important to check how each product works and its intended use before choosing it.
When is it advisable to combine several methods?
It is advisable to combine methods when the problem is persistent, when the animal is already used to the area or when there is easy access to food, shelter or water. In these cases, combining sound deterrence, ultrasound, light, water, repellents or physical barriers can be more effective than using a single product on its own.
What should I do before installing an animal repeller?
Before installing any solution, it is important to understand why the animal is coming to the area. There may be food, shelter, water, burrows, organic remains or easy access points. Reducing these factors greatly improves the effectiveness of any deterrent or repellent.
What should I do if the animal may be a protected species?
In that case, it is best not to act without checking first. Some species may be protected and handling them may require prior authorisation. If in doubt, consult the environmental authority in your region and always prioritise preventive and non-harmful solutions.
