Nattaro Scout® is a trap designed to detect bed bugs early and continuously. Identifying bed bug infestations early can significantly reduce treatment costs and discomfort for those affected. Infestations that last longer have a greater risk of spreading. Through extensive research, Nattaro Scout® has been created, a detection trap that uses a unique lure to attract bed bugs at the start of an infestation, facilitating their early detection when they are most difficult to find.

How Nattaro Scout® Works to Detect Bed Bugs

Nattaro Scout® consists of a mechanical trap with a replaceable lure, made from a distinctive blend of bed bug pheromones that mimics the scent of their aggregation sites, effectively attracting bed bugs at all life stages, including females, males, and nymphs. Designed to allow bed bugs in but prevent them from leaving. Once they enter the trap, they are captured.

The kit includes: 2 reusable traps and 2 lures.

A Superior Lure for Bed Bugs

Nattaro Scout® has shown superior performance in comparative tests against competitor traps, thanks to its patented lure developed from rigorous research and testing. This includes optimizing the scent, placement, and carriers of the pheromones. Field-tested with leading pest control companies, it has shown impressive results.

Using Nattaro Scout

Safe and non-toxic, Nattaro Scout® can be placed in beds or sofas. The lure remains effective for 4 weeks, requiring replacement for prolonged monitoring, such as in hotel environments. Constructed from biodegradable, eco-friendly, and reusable materials, both the device and the trap holder are reusable.

Nattaro Scout® is used to:

  • Confirm suspected bed bug infestations.
  • Verify the success of treatment and ensure rooms are 100% bed bug-free.
  • Provide continuous monitoring in high-risk environments, such as hotel rooms.

How to Know if There Are Bed Bugs

  • In beds, start inspecting along the mattress seams. Look for signs such as small bed bug skin sheds or fecal spots.
  • Place two or more traps per bed or sofa where you suspect there may be bed bugs. Ideally inside the bed or under the mattress, but also near bed legs or under the frame.
  • Regularly check the traps to identify if there are captured bed bugs.
  • If you need continuous monitoring, replace the lure every 4 weeks.

Warnings and Recommendations

  • When placing the trap, avoid direct contact with the lure as it may cause allergic reactions.
  • If you have a severe bed bug infestation, contact a local pest control service to eliminate the infestation. And then install Nattaro Safe as a maintenance and preventive measure.
  • If you identify that there are bed bugs but it is not a severe infestation, install Nattaro Safe to eliminate the bed bugs and prevent them from reproducing exponentially.

In my case, it turned out to be a false alarm. I stayed in a hotel and, out of fear that I might have brought one home, I bought the trap, but luckily I didn't catch any.
