FoxLights: deterrent lights for foxes, wolves and nocturnal predators

How to use FoxLights correctly

FoxLights does not depend only on the device itself, but also on correct positioning. For better results, it should be installed in a visible, clear point close to the area you want to protect.

• Place it near the livestock or vulnerable area: for example, where the animals sleep, next to pens, fences, usual predator entry points or sensitive areas.
• Look for 360° visibility: the flashes should be visible from different directions. Avoid placing it behind walls, dense vegetation, machinery or uneven ground that may block the light.
• Install it at a sufficient height: it should remain visible to predators and protected from being hit by livestock or other animals.
• For the solar version, choose a sunny location: if the area is very shaded, wooded or receives little sunlight, the battery-powered version may be more suitable.
• Move it periodically: relocating the device from time to time helps maintain the surprise effect and reduce the risk of habituation.

When to choose FoxLights and when to combine it with other measures

FoxLights is especially suitable as a preventive measure, before attacks become recurrent or before livestock is introduced into an area with known predator presence.

It can also be useful as reinforcement on farms, estates, pens, chicken coops, lambing areas, livestock resting areas or places where you want to increase the sensation of night-time surveillance without using lethal methods.

However, FoxLights should not be understood as a physical barrier or an absolute guarantee. In areas with high predator pressure, it should be combined with other management measures: suitable fencing, livestock guardian dogs, human presence, night-time livestock gathering or periodic changes in animal location.
